Humbly Successful

And he said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Success is a goal that encompasses everyone. Success is what drives the internal engine of most of us, and our friends. A normal character trait that is a result of success is undesirable. You know what I’m referring to? Those friends who are successful at sport, job, or life develop an ego complex. What normally follows?
Some foundation in their tower of self confidence collapses, and they fall to rock bottom.

And be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.

The word resist in this verse is actually offensive opposition. God will interact and knock down the proud.
That’s why we see the successful and self indulged fall so hard. God pushes their tower over. You don’t even have to be famous and successful for God to knock your tower down.
"To be truly successful you
must first be unknown."

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt you in due time.

I know that sometimes I try and increase my status on my own. These are the moments that God shows me I am nothing without him, and that is a fact. The moments that I don’t attempt self glorification are the ones where I am in the prime light. God will humble me, and then put me at a focal point so that I praise HIM.

Being humble and less, will make you more. God bless, and have a good week.
